The Zeus

£500
A homage to the Zonk Machine, est 1965/66. Capturing the raw energy & unruly nature of the Zonk, The Zeus Machine channels the essence of its origin with striking aesthetics and the visually captivating logo synonymous with this pedal. With its roots firmly planted in the MkI circuit, naturally it bears some sonic resemblance. However, The Zeus Machine is a law unto itself. Sweeping across the range of the fuzz control will deliver a array of fluid & uncompressed fuzz tones, zingy attack, sizzly decay & a dose of gating. Circuits will feature a carefully curated selection of parts chosen for their reliability and aesthetic quality. The transistors used may vary across builds and can include, but are not limited to, options such as: OC71, OC73, OC75, OC76, OC44, OC45, 2G3** varieties, AC113, CV7*** varieties, and more. I meticulously test and audition the transistors to ensure their compatibility with the circuit. Rest assured, the writing on the transistors hold little significance in terms of sonic performance and parts will be chosen based on the way they sound and behave in the circuit. The Zeus Machine is built in a Sheffield Steel Wedge Enclosure that's made in the UK. Finished in house in a classic Teal/blue hammer & screen printed. Units are fitted with top quality hardware such as Carling foot switches, 24mm Alpha Pots, Neutrik Jacks & Shielded wire. These are built in small batches to a varying lead time.
